We are all know that basketball is a sport that demands tall player. We are also know that more higher the player, more easy for him/her to reach the rim, block other player, or even more easy to do the dunk. So, what will short player (like me) become? Are we just become a bench player forever? or worse?
Many people feel down because they feel that their height is not tall enough to become a good basketball player. I think that kind of thinking is wrong and will just make us as a bench player forever. Good basketball player is not determined by their height. Many players out there have already proved that they could grab their dreams in basketball with not depend on their height.
History has told us that even your height is not tall, you still can do something in basketball. NBA have already witnessed the amazing of Spud Webb that proved that height is not the most important thing in basketball. Spud Webb was just 5ft 6inc tall, but he became the winner of the 1986 NBA Slam Dunk Contest, conquered Dominique Wilkins who was far more higher than him.
Although sometime height gives advantages to the game, I think basketball is more about hard work, technique, team work, and determination.

Rainy season comes again. Because my playground is outdoor, time for practice and playing basketball decreased again. Now every evening, which is my time to playing basketball, is raining, so my time left for playing basketball is only at weekend. That means I have to playing basketball like crazy in the weekend
I remember when I was still in my junior year in college, when I joined the faculty’s basketball team. That time we did the practice almost everyday for the cup season, even in a rainy day (of course in the outdoor field). Dribbling the ball in a wet field sure bring back my memories.

Being fast is good, but being too fast so even yourself can’t handle is something that won’t make any good for you and your team. What I mean too fast is the condition that the team too hurry to launch the attack as if there are no times anymore or such thing called strategy is doesn’t exist.
Sometimes the atmosphere in the game makes us want to throw a fast attack to our opponent or just because the dose of our nervousness is too high that we not longer use our brain anymore. I admit that sometimes I like that too, too hurry to attack and forgot that there are also my teammates around me.
Take a look at the situation in the field clearly, watch every possible opportunities that might be comes up, and use your brain, not your emotion. Skillful players know when to play fast and when to hold the situation down for the good of the team.

Aaah, I’ve lost some of my stamina. I think I’ve already knew it before. This morning when I played some games with some friends in my playground, I can’t catch up with my breath. I think this is because I never routinely doing exercises anymore.
Actually, many things can be done to improve your stamina. Everybody knows that jogging can improve your stamina. Maybe more than 25 minutes jogging should be enough. I usually do some jog every two days to improve my stamina. And every week I add more time to increase the duration. But, not anymore because my lack of free time.
Do some suicides also can improve your stamina. Maybe twenty minutes of suicides should be enough. I think it’s the same with jogging, because it’s also contains running activity.
Having good stamina is very fundamental for your skill and game to be improved. With having it, you can say you already have the basic to take your basketball skill and game to the next level. You can do nothing without having stamina.
This morning, while playing some games with my brother, I took some pictures of my basketball playground to fullfil my promise to you. I also created an individual pages for this post
